With the departure of the governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) consolidates in second place
A survey released on the 11th by Genial/Quaest indicates that President Lula maintains the lead in the electoral race with the departure of the Governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans). Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) appears in second place.
In four first-round scenarios, Lula receives between 35% and 38%, and Flávio, between 29% and 31%. In a second round between the two candidates, the PT member would win with 43% against 38% for the Bolsonaro supporter, a difference of five percentage points. The difference was seven points in January and 10 points in December.
The current president would also win in any of the other six scenarios indicated in the survey. Against the governor of Paraná, Ratinho Jr. (PSD), Lula would win with 43% to 35%. Against the governor of Goiás, Ronaldo Caiado (PSD), the advantage would be greater, 42% for Lula against 32%. If the opponent in the second round were the governor of Minas Gerais, Romeu Zema (Novo), Lula would also maintain 42% and the Minas Gerais governor 32%. The biggest advantage would be against the governor of Rio Grande do Sul, Eduardo Leite (PSD), 42% for the PT candidate and 28% for the Rio Grande do Sul governor.
In the open-ended question, Lula is the most remembered with 19%, ahead of Flávio Bolsonaro, with 10%. Former president Jair Bolsonaro, who is imprisoned and ineligible, received 2% spontaneously.
