The Perseu Abramo Foundation, through its Training Department, is promoting the free online course “Revisiting the History of Brazil: Debates and Conflicts.” Curated by Professor Dulce Pandolfi of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), the initiative, which includes a certificate of completion, will feature fourteen recorded lectures with renowned academics and researchers from various higher education institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“We will promote a fascinating journey through Brazilian history, critically and panoramically addressing more than five hundred years of our trajectory. We will explore events, struggles, and challenges that marked our past, questioning traditional views on the idea of \u200b\u200ba peaceful and egalitarian country. To this end, we will address the formation of the nation in the colonial period, going up to contemporary debates on democracy, authoritarianism, and inequality. Thus, we propose a profound reflection on the factors that shaped and continue to shape our society,” says Jorge Bittar, Director of Training at the Perseu Abramo Foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
