Em 1º de julho de 2008, no segundo mandato do governo Lula, uma comitiva do Partido Comunista da China (PCCh), chefiada por He Guoqiang, membro permanente do Birô Político (BP), do Comitê Central (CC) chegou ao Brasil, para uma visita ao Partido dos Trabalhadores, em Brasília. A comitiva foi recepcionada por Valter Pomar, Ricardo Berzoini, Romênio Pereira, Jilmar Tatto, Joaquim Soriano, entre outros. Na ocasião foi discutido o aprofundamento das relações partidárias e a cooperação bilateral entre os países.
On 1 July 2008, during President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva’s second term in office, a delegation from the Communist Party of China (CPC), led by He Guoqiang, Member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, visited the Workers’ Party (PT), Brazil, in Brasília. The delegation was received by Valter Pomar, Ricardo Berzoini, Romênio Pereira, Jilmar Tatto, Joaquim Soriano, and others. The visit included discussions on strengthening inter-party relations and expanding bilateral cooperation between Brazil and China.
